Quick answer: in Nepal in 2026, a business website costs about NPR 30,000 to 2,00,000, an online store NPR 1,00,000 to 5,00,000, a mobile app NPR 2 lakh to 30 lakh, SEO NPR 15,000 to 40,000 a month, a logo NPR 5,000 to 50,000 and website maintenance NPR 2,000 to 5,000 a month. Those are typical market ranges. A small business working with a freelancer can pay much less: my own prices start at NPR 15,000 for a business website and NPR 40,000 for an online store.

Why prices in Nepal vary so much
- Who builds it. An agency with an office, sales staff and project managers has to charge more than a freelancer or a small team.
- Custom or template. A tuned template is cheaper; a design and code made for you costs more but is faster and easier to grow.
- What's included. Some quotes include hosting, a year of support, content writing and SEO set up. Others charge for each later.
- Payments and logins. Anything that takes money or stores customer data needs more building and more testing.
When you compare quotes, ask each one for the same list: pages, features, who writes the content, hosting, support period and who owns the code and domain.
How to keep the cost down
- Start with the pages that bring customers and add the rest later.
- Write your own content and send your own photos.
- Use a free .com.np domain.
- Pick a monthly maintenance plan instead of paying for emergency fixes after a hack.
- Make sure the domain, hosting and code are in your name, so you never pay twice to move.
